Underground Asset Location – NULCA Accredited

Introduction

This two (2) day short course in Underground Asset Location is designed for anyone who will be breaking ground or working in proximity to underground services. While highly relevant to telecommunications workers, the course applies broadly across construction, utilities, civil works, and infrastructure environments.

The course is particularly suited to individuals working toward becoming a Certloc Certified Locator. It provides the essential theory knowledge required to support the Certloc theory assessment, forming a key step in the certification pathway.

Certloc Certified Locator status is a requirement for those seeking Telstra and/or Optus accreditation, allowing authorised access to their infrastructure for locating purposes. Many other asset owners also require anyone locating their assets to hold Certloc certification.

Participants will learn how to safely and accurately locate underground assets such as telecommunications cables, electrical services, gas lines, water, sewer, and plumbing infrastructure, reducing the risk of asset damage, service disruption, and safety incidents.
